There was a crazy scene in downtown Belleville during the supper hour yesterday (Thursday).
Police responded after reports of a naked man running around in the area of Front and Campbell streets, blocking traffic and acting aggressively toward motorists shortly after 6 o’clock.
Police caught up with the man who was found to be very drunk and perhaps high on drugs.
An ambulance was called but the man was combative with Hastings-Quinte paramedics and refused treatment.
Police arrested the 34-year-old Belleville man and held him until sober. He was charged with intoxication in a public place and failing to use a crosswalk.
