The 2020-21 school year will see a combination of in person, and online learning, with the hopes of an eventual return to normal.
We talked with the Director of Education for the Algonquin Lakeshore Catholic District School Board.
David DeSantis says safety will continue to be a major priority with the pandemic continuing.
“I think we are still going to have a remote learning school. I think every board will have one going into September, I will be shocked if we do not. We are going to have to make sure that we plan accordingly, with respect to staffing and the appropriate allocation of human and capital resources to that entity, because it is definitely going to still be around for the new year.”
“Making sure that our staff continue to build capacity around our online platforms. Key aspect is obviously resource management. All boards across the province of Ontario have felt the pinch, with the added cost of making sure that our buildings are safe, and our staff and students are safe.”
