Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision on Keene Road (between Rice Lake and Peterborough) at 1:45 p.m. on December 25, 2020.
A southbound vehicle crossed into the northbound lane and struck another vehicle. The driver of the northbound vehicle was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The driver and passengers of the southbound vehicle were uninjured.
The driver was found to be impaired by drugs. The driver and passengers were also found to be in possession of illicit drugs.
Michael Lunn (age 42) of Hiawatha First Nation, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
· Possession of Schedule I substance-cocaine
· Possession of Schedule I substance-opioid
· Drive while under suspension
· Operation causing bodily harm
· Dangerous operation causing bodily harm
Catherine Gladwin (age 59) of Hiawatha First Nation, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
· Possession of Schedule I substance-cocaine
· Possession of Schedule I substance-opioid
Chad Gladwin (age 33) of Hiawatha First Nation, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
· Possession of Schedule I substance-cocaine
· Possession of Schedule I substance-opioid
The accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on January 26, 2021.
