There was a frightening incident in the east end of Belleville in the noon hour yesterday (Sunday).
City police were called to an apartment building after people reported seeing two young children standing out on the ledge of a third storey window.
Callers reported the children as being around two years of age.
Police say there was no screen on the window to prevent the children from falling from the ledge.
A 22-year-old Belleville woman was charged with two counts of failing to provide the necessaries of life and breach of an undertaking.
She appears in court January 21 and the Children’s Aid Society has been called to investigate.
