Another local Royal Canadian Legion Branch is getting some federal funding to help get through the pandemic.
Legion Branch 228 in Stirling-Rawdon has received $10,845.05 to go towards operating expenses and allow the Legion to continue to support veterans during the ongoing public health crisis.
The money is part of a $20 million federal government initiative in support of veterans organizations, helping to cover costs for things like insurance, utilities, rent and other expenses.
