The John M. & Bernice Parrott Foundation is “giving the gift of compassion” this holiday season by making a significant donation to the Hospice Quinte Heart & Home Building Campaign.
The foundation has gifted Hospice Quinte a $215,000 donation, with $200,000 going towards the capital campaign to build the new hospice on Old Highway 2 in Bayside and the other $15,000 to be used for general operations.
The donation brings the total given by the foundation to Hospice Quinte to close to $465,000 after another $250,000 gift back in 2018, at the start of the campaign.
Once complete, the new six-bed hospice will provide professional palliative care 24/7 at no cost to families in Quinte West, Belleville, Deseronto, Tyendinaga Township and the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.
