The Belleville Police Service responded to 51 calls for service from December 22, 2020 at 5 a.m. to December 23, 2020 at 5 a.m.
Public Intoxication
City police dispatch received a call about an intoxicated female urinating at an east end drive through window and was blocking customers from proceeding through the drive-thru. Officers attended the establishment and located the female suspect whom they found to be intoxicated and combative. The 38-year-old Belleville woman was arrested for Public Intoxication and was transported to the Belleville Police Service where she spent the night to sober up. She was later released and charged with the Liquor Licence offence.
Warrant – Criminal Harassment
A female accused turned herself into Belleville Police on an outstanding warrant for Criminal Harassment. The investigation began back in October 2020 where another adult female complainant made a complaint to police about being harassed by a prospective tenant with regards to a room the complainant was renting. Police conducted an investigation and found grounds to lay a criminal harassment charge. A warrant was put out for the suspect’s arrest.
The accused, 47-year-old Beverly Fernandes of Belleville was charged with one count of Criminal Harassment. She was released on her own recognizance and will appear in Belleville Court on February 4, 2021 to answer to the charge.
