Flags in the City of Quinte West are at half-mast in honour of former Police Chief David Saunders who passed away Saturday.
He was 93.
Saunders was the Police Chief for the City of Trenton for 21 years and oversaw the opening of the recently demolished Campney building in 1985.
Chief Saunders was present in October 2019 to help open the time capsule placed in the Campney building when it was built.
“Chief Saunders was a great man and set great goals for our community,” says Quinte West Mayor Jim Harrison. “Our condolences go out to his family and friends.”
