A Tweed woman has picked up a $250,000 lotto win.
Barbara Stevens won the top prize on an Instant Crossword Deluxe ticket, which she bought at Tweed Convenience on Victoria Street North.
Stevens says she first thought she had won $25,000 and was pleasantly surprised to learn she’d won much more. The 61-year-old great-grandmother plans to pay some bills, share some of the money with her kids and save the rest.
She added that it’s nice to have the money, but says as long as she has her family “I’ll always be a winner”.
