Northumberland County continues to see concerning daily increases in coronavirus infections while the number of new infections in Hastings and Prince Edward counties increased but not spectacularly.
Ten new covid 19 cases were confirmed today (Saturday) in Northumberland, bringing the total there to 40 active and the total since the pandemic began to 193.
Meanwhile, there were seven new cases in Hastings-Prince Edward leaving 36 active cases. Another second person is being treated in hospital.
Neither is in the Intensive Care Unit.
There were three new cases located in Prince Edward County, two in Central Hastings, and one each in Belleville and Quinte West.
The seven day case rate per 100,000 population in the 2 counties is 17.8.
