Corrections Service of Canada has provided an update on the status of various corrections institutions after COVID-19 outbreaks at Joyceville and Warkworth institutions.
There are 83 active cases at Joyceville’s medium security unit, six at Collins Bay’s medium security unit, three at Warkworth institution and one at Beaver Creek’s medium security unit.
The COVID positive inmates at Beaver Creek, Warkworth and Collins Bay were all recently transferred from Joyceville. They are being isolated and monitored and all staff and close contacts are being tested.
