The Hastings Prince Edward Public Health Unit has updated the local COVID-19 numbers and has confirmed three new cases of the virus.
The new cases bring the number of active cases up to 35, with 13 recoveries.
The new cases were transmitted through travel, close contact and one case is still labeled as pending.
The case breakdown by region is as follows: 14 cases in Quinte West, 12 in Belleville, five in Prince Edward County, three in Tyendinaga and Deseronto and one in Central Hastings.
Three people are in hospital with one on a ventilator. The Health Unit does note on the dashboard hospitalizations, ICU admissions and those on ventilators may include those who do not reside in HPE but have been transferred to HPE hospitals.
An outbreak in Quinte West which saw four cases linked to it was declared over today (Friday), bringing the number of current outbreaks down to three.
The seven day case count per 100,000 people is down to 16.0.
The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge Health Unit is reporting five new cases of the virus in Northumberland County.
The number of active cases is up to 45 as there were four recoveries.
The total number of cases to date is 183, with two previously reported cases being moved to another health unit.
