A Belleville man has been sentenced to 30 days in jail on assault, dangerous driving, and failing to provide a breath sample charges after an incident in the city’s west end in May of last year.
Belleville police were called after residents reported someone doing brake stands in a car.
A resident was allegedly assaulted, threatened, and damage was done to property after asking the man to stop.
Police say after the suspect was arrested he urinated in his cell and damaged plumbing.
Jesse Jones, 34 at the time of the charges, was also charged with impaired driving and mischief.
On top of the 30 days in prison Jones was handed a 10-year weapons prohibition, a two-year driving prohibition, and 18 months probation.
