As he’s said before, the Chief of Staff of Quinte Health Care says now is the time to get serious and do the right things to slow the spread of COVID-19 in the community.
Dr. Colin MacPherson says people must abide by medical experts’ advice and only get together with immediate family during holiday celebrations.
“It’s really going to be critical because as a hospital, and we’re not alone in Ontario or elsewhere in Canada, hospitals are under a lot of pressure already and
the peak of the second wave isn’t expected until later in January.”
Dr. MacPherson says he and others at QHC and at public health are watching the increase in COVID-19 numbers very closely.
