Motor Vehicle Collisions
On December 10, 2020 at 6 a.m., police attended the intersection of College Street at North Front Street in response to a three-vehicle collision. Investigation revealed there were no serious injuries, and the at fault driver was charged with careless driving.
On December 10, 2020 at 2 p.m, police attended on North Front Street in response to a two-vehicle collision. Investigation revealed there were no injuries, and the at fault driver was charged with change lane – not in safety,
Assault with a weapon
On December 10, 2020 at 4:28 p.m. police attended a west end residence regarding a disturbance. Further investigation resulted in the arrest of a 27-year-old Belleville male who was charged with assault with a weapon, uttering threats, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and failing to comply with an undertaking. The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing on December 11, 2020.
Request for Public Assistance
The Belleville Police Service continues to seek eye witnesses to a traffic accident that occurred on December 1, 2020 at the intersection of Front St and Bridge St around 3:45 p.m. where a pedestrian crossing the road was struck by a vehicle. In particular, police would like to speak to a middle-aged male dressed in a business suit who was crossing that intersection at the time of the accident.
