Twelve new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Hastings Prince Edward.
The Public Health Unit says there are currently 54 active cases of the virus as there have been five recoveries.
Eight of the new cases were transmitted through close contact and the remaining four are listed as pending.
According to the HPE COVID-19 map, 25 cases are in Belleville, 20 are in Quinte West, three are in Central Hastings and Prince Edward County and two are in Tyendinaga and Deseronto.
A third case of COVID-19 was confirmed yesterday at Trenton High School according to the school board.
The seven day case rate per 100,000 people has reached 26.7.
The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge Health Unit is reporting eight new cases of COVID-19 in Northumberland County today.
This brings the number of unresolved cases up to 34.
There have been six recoveries since yesterday.
Spring Valley Public School in Brighton is reporting one staff member has a confirmed case of the virus as well.
