More traffic disruptions can be expected in central Belleville in the foreseeable future.
Monday, city council will see a staff report that recommends National Structures Inc. of Napanee do upgrades on the Bridge Street bridge which has had several structural and exterior issues over the years, even after a major restoration just six years ago.
National Structures’ bid of almost $1.3 million including tax was the lowest of 15 tenders.
The bridge will be closed to traffic during the work but pedestrian access will still be available.
