There are nine new cases of COVID-19 and three new recoveries being reported today in Hastings Prince Edward, bringing the number of active cases up to 47.
The Hastings Prince Edward Public Health Unit COVID-19 dashboard shows that four of the new cases are related to close contact, two are outbreak-related and three are still listed as pending. There are currently five active workplace outbreaks in Hastings Prince Edward.
The incidence rate in Hastings Prince Edward is 25.5 cases per 100,000 people. That puts the area just within the threshold of the orange zone under the province’s COVID-19 response framework.
There are 17 cases in Quinte West, 24 cases in Belleville and two cases in Prince Edward County.
In Northumberland County the Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge Health Unit is reporting five new cases and two new recoveries bringing the total of active cases there up to 32.
