A ridesharing service that is coming to Belleville is looking for drivers.
In a Tuesday afternoon press release Uride CEO Cody Ruberto says the company, whose goal is to reduce impaired driving, is planning to launch in the Friendly City in time for the holidays and needs drivers to fill out its fleet.
Ruberto added that all drivers and their vehicles are thoroughly vetted before they can register on Uride’s platform, with drivers needing to complete criminal record checks and drivers’ abstracts, which are provided by Uride.
The company also provides blanked fleet insurance coverage to cover drivers and passengers who are using the service.
While an official launch date hasn’t been set, Ruberto says drivers who sign up within the next few weeks will be eligible for a $250 sign-up bonus if they complete 50 rides within a month of the start up.
