An international employment firm is not predicting boom times for new hiring in the first quarter of 2021.
According to Manpower Group’s Employment Outlook Survey, 13% of local employers plan to hire early in the new year but another 13% expect to reduce their staff.
That flat hiring outlook is about the same as was predicted for the last quarter of this year.
Meanwhile nationally, the hiring climate is predicted to be better in the first quarter of 2021 compared to the same period this year.
Job prospects in Public Administration and Transportation and Public Utilities sectors are predicted to be especially good.
