The City of Quinte West is looking for just under $500,000 in upper government funding to make some significant improvements to the Robert Patrick Marina in Centennial Park.
Staff have been working with Wentworth Landscaping on a plan that would include some pathway and lighting improvements, installation of plant life, addition of bike racks, benches and picnic tables and a new boardwalk, which could accommodate future business pop-ups.
The request is going to the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program, through its COVID-19 stream, which provides money for projects to improve social distancing, active transportation and other upgrades.
If approved, the city’s share of the project would be just under $53,000.
