Quinte West OPP seized a number of weapons after what began as a medical assist call on the weekend.
Officers were called to the area of Kenron Estates on Saturday morning around 9:30 a.m. for the report of an unconscious man in a vehicle.
Police located the man and noticed a set of brass knuckles in plain sight. Further investigation led to the seizure of suspected hydromorphone pills, methamphetamine, two air-soft replica handguns and two knives.
The 42-year-old Quinte West resident was arrested at the scene.
Brian Brown is facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession, two counts of unauthorized possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
He appeared in court on Sunday.
