Five new cases of COVID-19 were reported today (Sunday) by Hastings Prince Edward Public Health.
As previously noted a new workplace outbreak at Trenton Walmart was also announced involving four employees but just two of those are listed as active at this time.
The five new cases bring the total number of active infections to 39 in the two counties with the vast majority being in Belleville and Quinte West.
Since the pandemic began there have been 171 COVID-19 infections.
The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge Health Unit did not provide an update today. On Saturday, five new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Northumberland County.
