Belleville Police have arrested a 27-year-old man for allegedly stealing property from a city bus driver this week.
The suspect was picked up near the bus terminal and charged with theft under $5,000 and breach of probation.
Meanwhile, a 31-year-old Quinte West man was arrested by Belleville Police in connection to an incident near Redwood Drive on Thursday afternoon.
He was charged with break and enter, mischief and criminal harassment and is being held for a bail hearing.
And early this morning a 36-year-old Quinte West woman was arrested after city police say she “helped herself to some snacks” from a North Front Street business and refused to pay for them.
She was charged with theft and trespassed from the property.
In total, Belleville Police officers responded to 67 calls for service in the last 24 hours including numerous noise complaints, disturbances, domestics, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic and animal complaints, neighbour and family disputes and calls to help Hastings-Quinte Paramedics.
There was also a handful of car crashes in the city yesterday, with those referred back to the BPS Collision Reporting Centre.
