The Belleville Police Service responded to 67 calls for service from December 2, 2020 at 5 a.m. to December 3, 2020 at 5 a.m.
Liquor Licence Act Arrests
On December 2, 2020, at 9:55 p.m., police attended a Bridge Street West apartment building regarding a disturbance. Investigation revealed that two persons at that location were intoxicated and causing problems. As a result, a 40-year-old female and a 59-year-old male, both of Belleville were arrested for their own protection and transported to Police headquarters where they were held until sober.
Request for Public Assistance
The Belleville Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance regarding a traffic accident that occurred on December 1, 2020, at approximately 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of Front Street and Bridge Street East. The accident involved a motor vehicle and a pedestrian. Police would like to speak with any eye witnesses to this accident. The Belleville Police Service also extend their thanks and appreciation to the many members of the community who stopped and assisted the people involved in the accident.
