A big new housing development is planned off Maitland Drive in urban Belleville’s north end.
A numbered company is applying to the city for approval of an Official Plan Amendment, zoning changes, and a draft plan of subdivision.
If approved, the development located on the south side of Maitland Drive just west of Highway 62 would feature 36 houses and 61 townhouses of various types. It would be known as “Maitland Commons”.
The land is currently zoned commercial in the Official Plan.
The public is invited to comment on the plan at Monday’s Planning Advisory Committee meeting. No decision will be made by the committee.
