Five people are facing charges as part of a drug investigation in Quinte West.
Quinte West Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) began a drug investigation in November.
The CSCU, along with the Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant at a home on Dufferin Avenue in Trenton last Friday morning (November 27).
Four people were arrested at the scene, including one youth. The home owner was arrested later the same day.
John Lemon, 39, of Trenton, Angus Andrews, 55, of no fixed address, Ashley Scolin, 35, of Marmora, Nicholas Semple, 25, of Trent Hills and a 17 year-old from Trenton have each been charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking- Methamphetamine
- Unauthorized Possession of Weapon
Additionally, Lemon and Scolin were charged with failing to comply with a release order.
Lemon was also charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Lemon and Scolin were held for a bail hearing and appeared in court on November 27 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
Andrews and Semple were released with a December 17 court date.
The youth was also released from custody with a December 15 court date.
