It’s been a busy few days for officers with the Bancroft detachment of the OPP.
Officers were called this past Saturday to investigate a break-in at a home on Ponacka Road in Hastings Highlands, which happened sometime in the previous week.
The home was forcibly entered and a saw was stolen.
Then on Sunday night, officers responded to a disturbance on Highway 62 in Bancroft, which led to 19-year-old Tristan McColl being charged with assault and various gun-related offences including:
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
- Transport of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition in a careless manner
Also on Sunday, police were called to another disturbance in Wollaston Township and a 60-year-old from Uxbridge was charged with assault, assault causing bodily harm and uttering threats.
Then on Monday, a snowblower and tools were reported stolen from a home on Paudash School Road in Faraday Township, with those items going missing sometime over the weekend.
