There are two new active cases of COVID-19 in Hastings Prince Edward.
The Public Health Unit confirmed via their COVID-19 dashboard the new cases today (Thursday) and that brings the number of active cases in the two counties up to 27.
One of the cases is linked to the outbreak in Quinte West and the other case is listed as pending. One case from yesterday has been linked to close contact.
Thirteen cases are in Belleville, ten are in Quinte West and four are in North Hastings.
One person remains in hospital but is not in the ICU or on a ventilator.
The Health Unit says Hastings Prince Edward is still in the green zone with 13.7 cases per 100,000 people in the last seven days.
The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge Health Unit is reporting three new cases today in Northumberland County, bringing the total number of active cases up to 15. There are four people in hospital because of the virus.
