UPDATED STORY: Highway 37 is back operating as normal Tuesday, after a two-vehicle crash, and tractor trailer fire.
Around 4:00 am, emergency crews were called to the area of 37 and Thrasher Road at O’Brien’s bridge.
After the two vehicle crash, a tractor trailer came upon the collision, and ended up in the ditch, and the load of cardboard it was carrying caught fire.
There was a fuel leak as well.
Minor injuries were reported.
The road re-opened around 8:30 am.

Belleville firefighters, OPP, and Hastings-Quinte paramedics responded to a two-vehicle collision and subsequent tractor trailer fire on Highway 37 earlier today (Tuesday).
There were no serious injuries but the collision occurred on an icy highway in the area of Thrasher Road and O’Brien’s Bridge shortly before 4 o’clock this morning.
A transport ended up in a ditch and caught fire. Its trailer was loaded with cardboard.
It is leaking fuel. Highway 37 may be blocked to traffic in the area of Thrasher Road.
