Quinte Health Care is reamping its visitors policy as the number of COVID-19 cases in the area continues to rise.
QHC says the “Care Partners and Visiting During COVID-19 Policy” will provide a predictable and transparent approach to who is permitted to enter QHC hospitals during the pandemic.
The policy will be gradually implemented this week and applies to all QHC hospitals, with CEO Mary Clare Egberts saying, “Our ultimate goal is to keep our patients, staff, physicians and communities safe.”
QHC says as it implements the new policy it will move to the more restrictive Phase 2 or yellow and is asking people who may be heading to a local hospital to review the new guidelines first.
