The Reeve of Tyendinaga Township is backing the local medical officer of health’s call to limit unnecessry travel.
Reeve Rick Phillips says he and council support Dr. Piotr Oglaza’s statement last week, encouraging people to stay home and not leave the area, and says “The risk to our residents from COVID-19 is real and we need to take individual actions to keep ourselves and our neighbours safe.”
Phillips is asking residents in the township to do their part to keep the area in the “green zone” of the province’s COVID-19 response framework.
