Jo-Anne Albert is another municipal mayor supporting the Health Unit’s call to limit travel.
The mayor of the Municipality of Tweed, and also the chair of Hastings Prince Edward Public Health, says she supports Dr. Piotr Oglaza’s statement last week asking residents in Hastings and Prince Edward counties to avoid unnecessary travel to other regions.
Albert says this area continues to stay in the Prevent Framework (green) because public health guidelines are being followed.
She says the risk to our residents from COVID-19 is real and residents need to take individual actions, like avoiding unnecessary travel, to keep ourselves and our neighbours safe.
