A new strategic plan for the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board is soon coming into effect.
The Board of Trustees approved the new five year 2020-2025 strategic plan “Learning Together” during their regular board meeting on Monday night.
Hastings Prince Edward District School Board Director of Education Sean Monteith said the board should be very proud of this strategic plan.
He said this report is a guiding document which will create a culture of acceptance, adopt principles of equity and increase the visibility and recognition of diversity.
Trustee Alison Kelly says she thinks this new strategic plan will change lives.
Monteith noted there is also a mid-term check-in to make sure the board is on the right path as determined by this new strategic plan.
He said this document determines priorities and lays out achievable markers for success.
The new strategic plan was approved and will take effect next month and carry through until December 2025.
