Prince Edward County Mayor Steve Ferguson has joined the local health unit in discouraging non-essential travel.
Earlier this week the HPE public health unit released a statement amid a spike in local cases urging people to reconsider travelling outside the region.
With the looming possibility of being moved into a yellow zone under the province’s COVID-19 framework, Ferguson released a statement reminding people of mask by-laws, proper sanitizing and asking people to assess the necessity of any out-of-region travel.
