Around 150 people braved chilly temperatures late Saturday morning outside Belleville City Hall to pay final respects to Councillor Pat Culhane.
The funeral procession was piped into Market Square by piper Troy Dulmage at 11:40 yesterday morning. The motorcade pause briefly and then moved on to a private family service at St. James Cemetery.

Councillor Pat Culhane passed away suddenly at Belleville General Hospital where she’d worked as a nurse and supervisor for over 50 years.
Many of those who worked with her at BGH attended yesterday wearing nurses’ caps and carrying white roses.

Councillor Culhane was a huge booster for the Quinte Humane Society over the years, and was Past-Chair at the time of her passing. All of city council were on hand as were members of the Quinte Humane Society, where Culhane served as board member, Past-Chair and Ambassador
Pat Culhane, 73 at the time of her death, served three terms on council and was a strong advocate for the citizens of Belleville, especially the more vulnerable.
