A student at Loyalist College has tested positive for COVID-19.
An email sent yesterday on behalf of Loyalist President Dr. Ann Marie Vaughan said that the student lived outside Hastings and Prince Edward counties and that Public Health was in the process of identifying any high risk contacts of the individual.
The person infected is home in self-quarantine and the college is following Public Health’s advice regarding cleaning and other risk mitigation measures.
Vaughan says the risk of infection to the general college campus community is low and classes will be held as usual.
