The Special Investigations Unit is looking into an in-custody injury in Lennox and Addington.
The police oversight organization says on Tuesday night, shortly before 9 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance call in Deseronto.
A 37-year-old man was arrested and charged with trespass at night, possession of cocaine and failure to comply with a probation order.
He was being held for a bail hearing when he suffered a non-life-threatening injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.
He was released back into custody of the OPP for a bail hearing scheduled today (Wednesday) in Napanee.
The OPP will not be able to provide any more information as the investigation is underway.
