The national Christmas kettle campaign is underway for the Salvation Army however planning is still in the works for a modified kettle drive in Belleville and area.
Changes will be made to the kettle campaign because of the COVID-19 pandemic and more information is expected in a couple of weeks.
Meanwhile, people should expect a letter from the local Salvation Army in their mailboxes over the next few days asking for donations to support the many programs the Army provides to the needy in the community.
Director of Community and Family Services in Belleville Connie Goodsell says demand for Salvation Army’s services is considerably up from last year.
