Update: The Chief of Quinte West Fire and an OPP Constable are heroes, after one person was pulled from a fire Monday afternoon.
During the noon hour, Bayside Station 3, and police responded to 6 Third Street in Sunny Creek Estates, near 8-Wing Trenton.
Chief John Whalen and Constable Dan Charland pulled a man from the burning building.
Whalen was taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation, and has since been released.
The victim of the fire was also taken for treatment.
Batawa Station 5 came for taken support, and Hastings-Quinte EMS were also called to the scene.

Firefighters in Quinte West dealt with a house fire early Monday afternoon.
The call at 56 Third Street in Sunny Creek Estates came in at noon and firefighters from Station 3, Bayside responded.
One male who was trapped in the building was pulled to safety and later taken to hospital.
A second person was also taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
Tanker support from Station 5, Batawa, was also needed at the scene.
Hastings Quinte Paramedics and OPP were called to the scene.
The fire was extinguished by 12:30 p.m.
