OPP and Joint Forces Penitentiary Squad are investigating an inmate death at Collins Bay Institution in Kingston.
Correctional Service of Canada reported on November 11 that an inmate had been found unresponsive in his cell.
Twenty-six-year-old Qin Long Xue was pronounced dead at the hospital. At the time of his death, Xue had been serving a life sentence for second degree murder since February 20 of this year.
An investigation into the death by CSC is underway.
