Belleville Police say they’ve found about $1,000 worth of stolen tools following a suspicious person complaint in the southern part of the city last night.
A complainant told police a white man in his 20s or 30s was snooping around a property, so they scared him off, but he left a wagon full of tools behind.
The suspect is described as tall and skinny, wearing a camo jacket and a red sweater.
Officers searched the area but couldn’t track the suspect down, however the recovered tools have been taken to BPS headquarters and anyone who has recently been a victim of theft can call Constable Genore (613-966-0882) to see if any of those items belong to them.
