After being closed since February for extensive renovations, Belleville’s downtown transit terminal is open again.
City officials reopened the Pinnacle Street facility this week, which saw the installation of barrier-free washrooms, energy-saving LED light fixtures, new vending machines for food and transit passes, and an upgraded break room for bus drivers.
Transit Manager Paul Buck says the improvements won’t just make things more comfortable and convenient for passengers, but will help the transit service operate more smoothly and efficiently as well.
