Prince Edward County council will be asked to award a tender so work can begin on an expansion of the public library in Picton soon.
At its meeting tomorrow (Tuesday) night, council will hear a deputation from the county library system showing the total cost of the expansion to be almost $2,750,000.
Most of that total has been raised through council grants and donations from the public however there remains an almost $480,000 shortfall.
However, an anonymous donor has pledged to pay for any shortfall up to $480,000.
