A Marmora and Lake resident appeared in Belleville court on Thursday after allegedly breaking into a home.
On October 16, 2020, Central Hastings OPP were called to a home on Lakeshore Road in Marmora and Lake after the homeowner observed a suspicious vehicle enter their property.
A similar vehicle was observed attempting to avoid a RIDE check and was stopped.
The vehicle was towed from the scene for various Highway Traffic Act offences. A search warrant was executed and a variety of stolen items was recovered.
On November 4, officers arrested Justin Lavecque, 28 years old, of Marmora and Lake.
He has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences;
- Break and Enter Dwelling House – Two Counts
- Possession of Break and Enter Instruments
- Mischief
- Possession of Property obtained by Crime under $5000
- Theft under $5000
- Trespassing at Night
- Failure to Comply with Undertaking
He appeared for a bail hearing.
