The Belleville Police Service responded to 69 calls for service from November 3, 2020 at 5 a.m. to November 4, 2020 at 5 a.m.
Breach of Court order
On November 3, 2020 at 4 p.m., Belleville police attended a west end residence regarding a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, one of the involved persons was found to be on a court release order not to be at that residence. As a result, a 35-year-old Belleville resident was arrested and held for a bail hearing on November 4, 2020.
Accident leads to impaired charge
On November 3, 2020 at 5:45 p.m., Belleville police attended a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Adam Street and Cannifton Road. No injuries and minor damage were reported, however further investigation revealed that one of the drivers was impaired by alcohol. As a result, 30-year-old Mathew McKnight of Quinte West was charged with driving while impaired and released with a November 19 court date.
Accident with minor injuries
On November 3, 2020 at 7 p.m., Belleville police were called to Pinnacle and Moira streets regarding a two-vehicle collision. Minor injuries were reported. As a result of the investigation one of the drivers was charged with failing to stop at a red light.
