Search and rescue personnel and aircraft from CFB Trenton’s 424 Squadron helped rescue two injured crew members from a freighter in the choppy waters of Lake Erie Saturday.
The big ship was in the area near Colchester south of Detroit.
424 Squadron airlifted the crew members to a land ambulance and they were taken to hospital in Windsor for treatment.
Also involved in the search and rescue were the Canadian and U.S. coast guards.
