The local health unit has declared a COVID-19 outbreak at a long term care home in Warkworth.
The Haliburton, Kawartha Pine Ridge Health Unit was notified of a symptomatic staff person at Warkworth Place who has tested positive for COVID-19.
Following provincial guidelines an outbreak was declared at the facility.
The administraton and staff at Warkworth Place are implementing outbreak control measures and are working closely with HKPR Health unit to monitor the outbreak.
