A woman can be thankful she had second thoughts or she would have lost a lot of money.
Belleville police were called after a woman reported receiving a call from an unknown person telling her that she had won $5.5 million along with a new car.
But the hitch was that she had to forward $20,000 before the big prize could be handed out.
The Belleville woman sent some of the money and then felt she should call the police.
The public is again warned that the majority of these kinds of offers are scams and should be ignored.
