Celebrate Halloween differently
Belleville Mayor Mitch Panciuk has once again asked residents to celebrate Halloween in a different way.
During Monday night’s council meeting, Panciuk urged residents to look at the record numbers of COVID-19 cases in Ontario and find different ways to mark Halloween that involve social distancing and no parties.
He urged people to follow public health guidelines.
The mayor also noted the Remembrance Day ceremony at the cenotaph will not be open to the public.
He pointed to the poppy campaign as a way to show that we remember the veterans.
